The world is changed because you are made of ivory and gold. The curves of your lips rewrite history. I travel because it is the only way to breathe, to still the restless feet and spirit. To lose and then find myself again. A restless spirit is never at peace with life, the world, the universe. And the answer may be 42, but what fun is it when every question is answered? History books can tell you more about the world, sometimes, than looking around yourself can - hindsight is 20/20. Lonely spirits find consolation in music, in movies, in books that can take them out of their own problems, pain, world and deposit them in someone elses. After all, the grass is always greener on the other side. Good friends and companions, however, can mean more to you than silver or gold. Alcohol can take the edge off, and loud music can never, ever hurt. Alternatively, immerse yourself in writing or throw yourself down a mountain, strapped to a board or two. Forgetting yourself is easy to do when you know how. new friends are always, always welcome. |
